Position Summary

The Lead Forklift Operator will be responsible for maintaining the production facility in a clean, orderly, and easily accessible manner while processing incoming and outgoing deliveries in an efficient manner utilizing lean principles.  This full-time role is based in our Keene, NH facility and will report to the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator.

Working in collaboration with the Shipping & Receiving Coordinator, the Lead Forklift Production responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and loading trucks and assisting with properly securing and protecting (i.e. tarping) loads as needed
  • Maintaining accurate shipping records and additional documentation 
  • Overseeing forklift responsibilities and projects for the forklift team
  • Maintaining and organizing grounds, facility, and company vehicles
  • Functioning as a backup for Shipping & Receiving Coordinator

Essential role functions

  • Forklift Operator Certification
  • Climbing, walking and running
  • Ability to:
    • Drive various forklifts
    • Lift at least 50 lbs
    • Work safely and effectively at high elevations
    • Work safely and accurately utilizing forklift, heavy machinery, and sharp tools
    • Safely operate hazardous equipment
    • Work in varying weather conditions and temperatures
    • Work overtime if required
    • Ability to utilize various techniques to achieve results
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
