EnergyVision 2030: A Plan for Changes to our Energy System

03/08/2018 - 10:30 to 12:00
10:30 am to 12:00 pm

This session will start with an overview of our EnergyVision 2030 report, which highlights the changes needed to for the Northeast to meet 2030 carbon emissions targets that would put it on the path to the 80% by 2050 mandates that exist in most of the states. These changes are organized into four overarching categories - maximizing energy efficiency, electrifying buildings and transportation, cleaning up electric supply, and modernizing the grid. Specific numerical targets have been modeled for all of these areas, and policy recommendations for achieving them are provided. After a brief introduction of the report itself, the remainder of the time would focus on how these concepts are communicated and how everyone can help bring them to a wider audience.
