Heliana Veronica Higbie was born and raised in Argentina and moved to the United States in 2001, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Sarah Lawrence College. She went on to obtain her Masters of International Affairs from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, where she focused her studies in Corporate Social Responsibility, Economic, Political, and Sustainable Development.
Heliana has spearheaded the development and implementation of sustainability programs for nearly a decade. She has worked in New York, and throughout North and South America. She has experience working for the United Nations, City Government, the MTA, and Fortune 500 companies. Most recently, she has also lead the Mayor’s Office of Sustainability for the 4th largest city in New York State, with the goal of reducing the State’s overall carbon footprint. Heliana is multilingual
Heliana enjoys going for long walks, doing Yoga in open spaces, playing the Harmonica and spending time with her family.
