Granite State Solar, NH’s leader in solar energy, is expanding rapidly. We are seeking a licensed NH Journeyman Electrician or 4th-year apprentice to join our team. Candidate must have an excellent work ethic and enjoy working in a team environment.

The Field Technician works with our solar photovoltaic installation team in both residential and commercial settings to provide technical support of solar electrical equipment, solar battery installation, loading/unloading equipment, installing conduit, roof wiring, and cable management duties.

Responsibilities:

Assist Master Electrician with installing electrical systems that interconnect our solar array to the electrical grid of our customer’s property.
Perform electrical inspections.
Assist Master Electrician with managing and training the installation crew
Assist with loading project equipment and materials for delivery to the job site
Assist with overall crew and job site safety.
Solar Battery Installations.
Manage site preparation and clean-up.
Troubleshoot system problems and resolve electrical issues as needed.
Stay up to date on Code requirements.
Maintain compliance with all safety regulations per OSHA and Granite State Solar standards.

Qualifications:

Must have an exemplary working knowledge of the National Electric Codes (NEC) as related to solar photovoltaic systems.
4th Year Electrical Apprentice or Journeyman required.
GED or High School Diploma.
Must have and maintain a clean and valid driver’s record.
Professional appearance and strong customer relation skills are essential
Must be able to comfortably lift 75 lbs, climb ladders, work on roofs and in crawl spaces, and work outside during both hot and cold temperatures
Familiarity with hand tools and basic construction techniques.
Ability to work well with and manage others in a collaborative team environment.
Basic computer skills preferred.
Additional duties required as needed.
Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success.
