National Grid is hiring a Senior Analyst, Transmission, Generation, and Energy Procurement  for our Transmission organization in Waltham, MA.

 

Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Director of Business Planning and Performance within the Transmission, Generation and Energy Procurement Business Unit, this role provides analytical and reporting support to the TGEP BU. This role supports the delivery of positive financial results, regulatory outcomes, operational performance, attainment of the capital investment plan, and positive stakeholder engagement.  This role identifies, tracks, and reports on key performance indicators and metrics to help drive performance, and is responsible for the delivery of our monthly and quarterly reporting materials.  The Senior Analyst will need to demonstrate an understanding of key business issues and drivers that impact the BU strategy and performance.  

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in business, economics or engineering (or related area), with an advanced business degree preferred (MBA) and 5+ years of business experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well across all company functions with staff from a diverse range of backgrounds and experience.
  • Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Microsoft Office) and experience with Tableau, SharePoint, Box is highly desirable.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience with dealing with senior executives and leaders throughout the organization.
  • Knowledge of FERC regulatory concepts highly a plus.
  • Experience in identifying and reporting on KPIs and metrics.
  • Experience with providing analytical support and preparing strategic documents for executives and senior leaders.
  • Experience in strategy and risk assessment.
  • Knowledge of and experience in the electric and gas industry.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communications.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Financial background and acumen a plus.
  • Project management experience a plus.
  • Transmission knowledge/experience a plus.
