Community Happy Hour & Virtual Beer Tasting

Celebrate the opening day of BuildingEnergy Boston during Community Happy Hour, which will include both social breakout groups and a guided beer tasting. After a brief welcome, participants will be sent into rounds of virtual breakout rooms to mingle in a small group setting. Make new connections in the community and catch up with people you already know.

After the first round of breakouts, we'll watch a guided virtual beer tasting, sponsored by the folks at Abode Energy Management and hosted by Andrew from the Cycling Certified Cicerone. Andrew will be sharing tasting tips and tricks all while you sit back and enjoy some well-earned brews. Work your way through a craft beer flight while the Cicerone answers all your questions about brewing, homebrewing, tasting, pouring, glassware, styles, beer history, and more. You'll get a chance to put your new beer tasting vocabularly to the test in the next ground of virtual breakouts.

You'll leave this session with enough beer trivia to impress your friends and some new NESEA connections. We recommend purchasing three beers, one from each category listed below at your local shop before logging in to this event. If you aren't in the region and can't find these or you've already tried them all, just ask the folks at your shop and they'll be able to point you to a stellar example of each style. The selections below are broken out by category with the brewery name in parentheses.

Good luck hunting! If you don't know your nearest bottle shop, just search for it!
