The NESEA community supports its members in many ways throughout the year. Whether it’s through regional conferences that bring together the latest in building trends and the experts pushing our industry forward, publications and webinars that thoughtfully engage, or groups like BuildingEnergy Bottom Lines that enable an amazing atmosphere of collective support throughout multiple facets of the building industry, NESEA’s impact is far-reaching and meaningful.
2019 marked a great year for Abode Energy Management. We continued to grow our impact through the work of Mass Save® Home Performance Contractors and increased our participation with amazing organizations like NESEA.
As a Bottom Lines member, Abode leverages this amazing community as we wade through the challenges of launching a company in the building performance sector. Through this program, we have forged some amazing friendships and have had a lot of fun getting to meet and engage with passionate, thoughtful business leaders. This is why Abode launched a donation match campaign of $10,000 for NESEA in December 2019. As a result of this campaign, over 40 individuals and businesses helped NESEA meet its operations budget fundraising goal for the end of the year, with the average contribution amount of over $200.
Working with a local organization that shares our progressive values is important to us. We know that the homes and buildings being constructed today will have a lasting environmental impact, and we greatly appreciate the influence NESEA has within the building community to help us all be more sustainable business leaders. We know that our financial contributions to NESEA are being used to sustain and foster an amazing community of doers.
Thank you to all that contributed. Abode strongly believes in the great work NESEA is doing and we are excited to see what 2020 brings. We’re looking forward to seeing all of our great colleagues at Building Energy Boston in a few months!
