About the Role
At Placework you will have the opportunity to work on several projects simultaneously, filling various roles. Our designers value the opportunity to gain experience in a broad range of skills and we have supported many people on the path to licensure.

Your work will likely include the following aspects of our workflow – sometimes all in one week!
• Interface with consultants, contractors, and clients
• Hand and digital sketching & physical models
• Research: project contexts, materials, technologies, codes/regulations, etc.
• Use of BIM (Revit) to create construction documents
• Field reconnaissance & documentation
• Development of high-performance envelope details
• Site visits & construction administration
• Collaboration with peers, Project Managers and Principals
• Project management (Everybody manages something!)
• Support for marketing and office operations
• Community participation/engagement outside of the office

Requirements
We hope you will come prepared with:
• An M. Arch or B. Arch degree from an accredited architecture program
• Two to three years of professional experience
• Excellent design and communication skills, as evident through your portfolio and communications
• Education and/or experience and a keen interest in sustainable design
• A positive and collaborative mindset
• An ability to work and organize your time and tasks independently to meet established goals.
• Proficiency with Revit and Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience with Twin Motion is a plus!
• A desire to learn and to share your knowledge with others.
• Respect for and understanding of the impact of this work.

Compensation + Benefits

• Fair and transparent salaries; salary for this position will range between $60,000 and $75,000 depending on experience and potential.
