ZeroEnergy Design (ZED) is seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer with 5+ years of experience and passion for meaningful sustainability to join our team. The successful individual will have experience in the design and construction phases of mechanical engineering for residential projects.  They must have the ability to work independently under limited supervision on several projects concurrently, show flexibility and innovation, and be client oriented.

Key Responsibilities
• Design building systems by performing heating and cooling load calculations, selecting mechanical equipment, designing distribution for HVAC systems
• Perform energy modeling, preferably utilizing WUFI-Passive or PHPP for Passive House documentation
• Prepare contract drawings and specifications
• Coordinate with clients and other project team members

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineer or similar field
• Certified Passive House Consultant is preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and quality control
• Experience with energy modeling software – preferably WUFI-Passive or PHPP
• Working knowledge of Autocad and Revit
