pHdesign was founded in 2008 in a small space in the Brooklyn Navy Yard and has grown into a Lower Manhattan office near the South Street Seaport. The project types have also grown from small kitchen and bathroom renovations to single-family houses, condos, coops, and mixed-use projects. The firm focuses on reusing existing buildings while incorporating sustainable building practices. It now includes the design of two Passive House projects - a ground up home in northern Michigan and an EnerPHit project in Jersey City.
