Partnering with the Delaware chapters of the AIA, APA, Sea Grant, EPA, and state, county and city offices, SD produces Delaware’s sustainability conferences. SD also sponsors professional meetings, speaking tours, and administers sustainability grants from the National Endowment for the Arts (for Urban Design), national EPA (for walkability), the National Trust for Historic Preservation (for embodied carbon research) and others.

SD’s focus is strategies to achieve net zero GHG emissions including RE, technological efficiency and reuse/retrofits, low-carbon traditional materials, walkable green neighborhood design, nature-based demand-reduction, and social science-based well-being and sufficiency pathways.
