Drink & Crit
The Crit is a staple of an architectural education. It's the final critique in an academic studio where you hang your designs on the wall, and stand and present your ideas in front a jury of your peers. It's a chance for public glory, and slings and arrows if the work doesn't measure up. In normal life, this experience is confined to the relatively safe cloisters of architecture school. But we're not just architects, we're members of the most cross-disciplinary, most cutting edge group of high performance building professionals around. So we thought, why not throw open the cloister doors and allow the best and brightest non-architects in on the action?
Join Emcee Jesse Thompson and watch as your favorite NESEA architects and designers bravely pin up and shut up before fellow architects, engineers, builders and energy professionals. Four projects, two cross-disciplinary juries and hours of talk provided by your friends and colleagues, over cocktails, which just makes the discussion more, well...vibrant. It'll be beautiful and geeky.
Do we have to choose between design and high performance? We'll leave that one up to the juries.
Speakers: Phil Kaplan, Kaplan and Thompson Architects, Chris Briley, and others
