Software for Smarter Buildings

Energy-savings opportunities exist in buildings everywhere. Whether a building is new or old, large or small, energy systems will inevitably deteriorate without high-quality maintenance (or without fixing systems improperly configured in the first place). Identification of these problems and their ideal solutions is an expensive and time consuming process, and expertise is limited. This session will explore a variety of software strategies that are helping building operators tackle this problem. We will explore real-world case studies and achieved results. While unique approaches are required for unique building types, widespread adoption of the appropriate solutions could result in widespread energy and functionality improvements across a large number of buildings.
