This Pro Tour will brough participants into the forest of southwestern Vermont to walk through the innovative, Leed Platinum Certified Burr and Burton Academy Mountain Campus (BBAMC).
Since its completion in 2012, BBAMC has been functioning as an immersive satellite campus where students can learn about environmental science and sustainable green building principles.
This building not only provides classroom space, it also serves as a learning center for approximately 40 students and staff, incorporating the functionality of an institutional building with the needs of a multi-use facility. This innovative campus was designed, engineered, and built by Bensonwood, a New Hampshire-based company, with a goal of LEED Platinum Certification and Net Zero Electrical Energy Consumption. Members of the Bensonwood team will lead this tour, guiding participants through the campus and the process, and concluding with a presentation and Q&A session.
