Anthony Montalto is a Partner at global engineering firm, JB&B. Since joining the firm in 2002, he has been involved on numerous commercial office and healthcare projects, with special expertise in the life science sector. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, he has been instrumental to the creation of innovative design strategies toward improving indoor air quality for occupant health and wellness. Some of his notable projects include managing post-Sandy restoration work for one of New York’s top medical centers in addition to Weill Cornell Medicine’s Belfer Research Building, the New York Stem Cell Foundation Research Institute, Columbia University Medical Center’s Vagelos Education Center, 345 Park Avenue South – The Cure, Taconic’s 125 West End Avenue, among many other commercial life science projects with expansion into the Boston and Philadelphia areas.
Mr. Montalto is very involved in putting a human face on engineering in both the community and the classroom. He has a longstanding association with Habitat for Humanity NYC, of which he is currently an executive board member, and was a key player on the design coordination of the Sydney House project. He is co-founder of the Cross-Learning Alliance, a collaborative educational initiative between ASHRAE New York, AIA New York and Urban Green Council.
