Mr. Ast, Director of Energy Management, is responsible for guiding POAH’s efforts with respect to energy conservation, generation, and policy, particularly as it relates to POAH’s existing portfolio. He develops the strategic direction, financing and implementation of energy-related investments as part of POAH’s commitment to implementing portfolio-wide energy efficiency upgrades, conservation strategies and the installation of renewable energy sources.
Immediately prior to joining POAH, Mr. Ast worked as a program manager at the Consortium for Energy Efficiency in Boston, MA. There he structured financial and behavioral incentives to encourage industries to implement energy management solutions and worked to identify opportunities for participating companies to leverage limited resources for energy savings initiatives. His prior experience includes work with environmental start-ups and entrepreneurs.
Mr. Ast is a graduate of Duke University and earned a Masters in Business Administration from the F.W. Olin School of Management at Babson College.
