Andrew's primary areas of expertise are in low carbon buildings and renewable energy. His professional and academic experience ranges from consultancy, programme management, business development, authoring technical and non-technical articles, lecture and workshop delivery, and technical research.
Andrew is the founder of Peel Passive House Consulting, which provides sustainability consultancy and certification services to the building industry. Prior to establishing his own company, Andrew worked in a variety of capacities in Europe. These included managing the UK Government's innovative carbon saving technologies scheme and the Energy Saving Trust's Best Practice Helpline. He also managed and delivered Passive House, Code for Sustainable Homes, wind turbine development, and thermal modelling projects as well as organizing Passive House study tours. Further activities included contributing to the development of the UK Government’s housing energy calculation methodology (SAP) and writing both technical and non-technical publications on various sustainability topics.
Andrew is currently President of the Ontario Passive House Group, a non-profit organization dedicated to promotional and educational activities that support the Passive House building standard. He is also the only Canadian-based Passive House certifier accredited by the German Passive House Institut.

Andrew is an experienced speaker, having presented at numerous events internationally and in Canada. His presentations have covered a wide array of topics, including low energy buildings, building rating systems, building technologies and research, and modern methods of construction. He has presented to diverse audiences, from building professionals and developers, to social housing providers, to government officials. Recent presentations include:
