Meet the Center for EcoTechnology at BuildingEnergy!

For each of the past five years, the Center for EcoTechnology has exhibited its programs at NESEA’s BuildingEnergy conference. We’ll be back again this year (booth 630), for the very simple reason that this conference is the go-to event for our field and our region.

Building Energy attracts green building professionals – designers, architects, contractors, utility and government representatives, business analysts, developers, and many more from across New England. These are the people CET seeks to meet and talk to – to help us work with others to save energy and reduce waste and make our community a better place to live and work.

The Center for EcoTechnology:

  • works with building professionals to design and test highly energy efficient new homes

  • works with businesses to identify and take advantage of energy efficiency opportunities

  • collects and sells used building materials through our retail store EcoBuilding Bargains

  • conducts home energy assessments for the Mass Save program

  • helps businesses develop recycling and composting programs to save money and comply with regulations

  • educates communities through our outreach efforts and trains and prepares emerging environmental leaders through our EcoFellowship program

It’s hard to find one conference that covers all that we do. The Building Energy conference does, and it’s just up the road!

At our booth, people can learn more about these programs and how CET can help people and businesses meet their sustainability goals. Exhibiting at Building Energy helps us both raise awareness or our organization and generate leads for business. Each year, we make connections that lead to donations of building materials to EcoBuilding Bargains, uptake of our high performance home building services, and requests for green business energy efficiency and waste reduction consultation.

We also send nearly one third of our staff to the conference, to brush up on best practices and innovations in the field, earn credits for certifications, and to meet and network with people in our field. As our president, John Majercak says, “This conference is the go-to event for our field and our region. It's one we can't afford not to be seen at.” Click here to register for BuildingEnergy Boston.
