Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Things have changed since the election. Our world is now very different, and I’ve been feeling an intense need to do something about it. I’m concerned about a lot of things, and sometimes I don’t know what to throw my energy into. But I do know that the BuildingEnergy Boston Conference is one event I look forward to every year with great anticipation. That’s where I find like-minded people who are talking about the issues that are most important here and now.
This year, NESEA is making space for people to have conversations about taking action and making the world a better place given the new challenges before us. We will be able to share how these challenges are affecting those of us in the building and design trades who are focused on sustainability, energy efficiency, renewables, and—most importantly—actually doing things. As Chair of NESEA's Board of Directors, I’m proud that NESEA is on the leading edge of these industries and that it has created a place where so many key conversations happen every year. This will be especially important in 2017.
NESEA has changed me professionally and personally. I feel connected and engaged, and being part of it makes me feel optimistic in a time when doing so has become a challenge.
Please come and say hello, and let’s talk about it.
