Technology to Help Operate and Manage Your Construction Business

11/04/2015 - 10:15 to 11:45
10:15 am to 11:45 am
Room/Location: Oak Room

Technology can be an enormous help or hindrance in running our construction businesses. As business owners we face a multitude of options in everything from cell phones (and the associated company policies) to full suite computer programs that can cost tens of thousands of dollars.  In a certain sense, it’s never been easier, but it’s also likely never been as complex.  Many of us may have experienced serious setbacks related to our technology.  Our best resource in sorting out what may work best for our companies is each other, and our collective experience. Some technology topics may include: project management, estimating, time tracking, document sharing, cell phone policies, office computer policies, accounting, backups and safeguards, CAD and drawing, websites, CRM, apps, marketing, and field versus office differences.

A panel consisting of Ben Kelley of Building Shelter, Mel Baiser of Baiser Construction Management, and the audience will discuss our varied experiences, successes and failures. Moderated by Brad Morse of Uncarved Block.
