Ben Kelley, president of Building Shelter Inc, comes from a long line of tradesmen and successful business owners. He began construction with his father in Washington State and worked at his grandfather’s heavy equipment shop in California. after extensive travel Ben landed on martha's vineyard in 1996 with 186$ and no connections. He took up carpentry again and continues to develop his trade through the company he founded, Building Shelter, Inc. Since its incorporation in 2007, Building Shelter, Inc. has been serving Martha’s Vineyard home owners with a deep commitment to craftsmanship, durable details and to the success of our clients’ projects. Ben is a Certified Passive House Consultant, Certified Passive House Builder, BPI Certified Building Analyst and HERS trained.
