Three Routes to Work: Recruiting, Retaining and Upskilling Our Workforce

Is there a one size fits all workforce development strategy for the built environment? NO! We will present three distinct approaches to workforce development that represent different needs and goals of the industry. Here’s a sneak peek: we’ll take a look inside a state-funded on-the-job training program, a brand-new BPI certificate of knowledge, and a private HVAC company focusing heavily on in-house apprenticeships. After presenting the three approaches, the panelists will discuss their experiences, describe how they have centered equity and inclusion in these approaches, and review successes and challenges.
