Ben currently works in Boston, with Eastern Research Group, as an environmental analyst specializing in Life Cycle Assessment. He believes strongly that we need to look at a broad array of impact categories if we hope to ask and answer intelligent questions about environmental impact. The work being presented at this conference is a whole-building life cycle assessment of a single-family home developed as part of his master’s degree program in environmental management at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. At the moment his work has drawn him into a variety of spaces including conventional and alternative methods of wastewater treatment, automated generation of life cycle inventories, and the environmental and human health impacts of cookstoves in India and China.
