Bjarki Gunnarsson, a native of Iceland,. is owner of The Wood Mill in Mercer, ME. The business began as a portable sawmill operation in 1987 producing the highest quality wide pine flooring, merged with a log-home supplier, and moved to Mercer to expand facilities. In 2012, Gummarsson bought the business with a partner, who has since left the company. The Wood Mill continues with its line of premium pine flooring and log-home suppliers. It also produces hemlock and cedar products.
