Damainique is the Assistant Director of a small housing and tenants' rights non-profit in Boston, which assists low income renters receiving federal subsidies to learn about their legal rights, build and strengthen the capacity of their tenant organizations, and conduct state and federal advocacy for fair, decent, safe, and sanitary housing and housing preservation. She also serves as the Project Coordinator for a national AmeriCorps VISTA project, providing training, substantive federally policy education, and organizational support to 45 VISTAs working to preserve federally subsidized housing.
As a NESEA Board Fellow, she serves as a non-voting board member of for the organization. Through the Fellowship, she will work with NESEA to develop a consortium of sustainability organizations across Massachusetts and assist in creating a platform to better educate and inform NESEA members about sustainable energy advocacy, and network with like-minded organizations statewide.
