Rory Christian is New York Director for Clean Energy at the Environmental Defense Fund. Rory provides strategy management, programming, business development and stakeholder collaboration for the Clean Energy program in NY. He oversees a 10-member multidisciplinary team (economists, lawyers and engineers) to design, implement, and manage legislative and policy campaigns and solutions to lower environmental impact of electricity production.
Rory successfully grew and expanded the EDF Climate Corps program into NYC by 200% over three years; boosted state level renewable energy and efficiency goals through strong ongoing relationships with NYS and NYC elected officials, regional allies, and key stakeholders within the NYS energy sector; was instrumental in expanding Time of Use (TOU) rates throughout NYS by steering EDF policies related to Reforming the Energy Vision (REV).
Rory has an MBA from Baruch College, Zicklin School of Business in New York, and has completed multiple industry certifications.
