EcoVillage Ithaca: TREE
General Energy Use, Strategies and Systems
Energy Use:
Energy conservation is the primary focus for the TREE homes. Each home is built with an air-tight envelope, extra insulation on the foundation, walls and ceilings, and efficient windows. Energy from the sun is captured through solar panels and a PV array, both of which are on the roof.
